General Mechanic Co. (PJS) started its activity in 1954 as one of
the biggest manufacturing factories of the country in field of mass production
of house appliance (refrigerator, washing machine, cooler, oven, heater, water
heater, heating panel, etc.) and by
increase of financial power of the company and graduation of managers who had
been sent to foreign universities to educate in different majors, and also
development of activity area to other fields such as mechanized cattle
breeding, mechanized poultry breeding, installation affairs, etc., and also
dividing activities of the company based on type of specialty, each to a separate legal personality, started its
initial contractor role by constructing Telephone Center of Shahre-Rey.
By expansion of activities of the company, large international
companies (American, European, and Russian) such as Thyssen, Industry Bonvard, fair-
clough, Snam Propjet, Techno Prom Export, etc., became more interested in
cooperating with us and now the company has more than 6 decades of experience
in construction projects both in the country and also in international field.
Of reasons of stability of the company and its services, we can mention
principles such as absorbing trust and satisfaction of the employers,
preserving and improving technical knowledge and experience of the employees,
such as defining priority of quality over other issues.
Scope of activity of the company includes all construction fields
such as heavy structures, infrastructural projects, construction of dams, water
transfer pipelines, breakwater and wharf construction, construction of
different inter-city and intra-city roads including freeway, long tunnels,
bridges, and constraction rail way, construction of high rise buildings, town
construction, railway stations, and airport terminals, special buildings
including sport complex and industrial structures, specialized water and sewage
refineries, downstream and upstream oil and petrochemical fields.
Wide range of the activities has increased specialized power of the
company and by applying project-oriented approach of management and correct
planning based on appropriate strategy of senior management of the company,
efficiency of equipping fleet and machinery of the company in all fields such
as human resources, facilities, and finance, has been increased. Targeting the

engineering methods with appropriate quality and quantity and in the shortest
